STEM Activity Days

We promote STEM to the next generation by delivering STEM Activity Days to schools.

These are bespoke STEM Activity Days where pupils can meet Techwuman STEM Ambassadors in different roles from STEM industries, undergo practical activities to understand the associated STEM concepts and most of all, have fun!

All the resources are provided, and there is at least one Techwuman STEM Ambassador per classroom. We have delivered STEM Activity Days for schools ranging from 4 classes all the way up to 22 classes.

Techwuman is always on the lookout for new STEM Ambassadors at different stages of their career or education be it undergraduates, postgraduates or fully qualified professionals.

The Techwuman STEM Ambassador programme is designed to train those from the STEM industry to ‘give back’ by being role models allowing them to share their career pathways and knowledge.

The Next Generation of Engineers: Why Female Representation is Important

For this year’s International Women in Engineering Day, Techwuman have partnered up with the BSIA to celebrate the contributions of women in engineering and science, and their impact on the past, present and future of engineering.

We aim to inspire the next generation of women to get into a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths), to continue breaking down barriers in the field.

History of Black History Month

Black History Month in the UK is held in October every year to celebrate the achievements of Black people throughout history up until the present day. It is an opportunity to not only make progress eradicating inequality in society today but to also make more people knowledgeable about the history and the black community.

Forging a path for the future of engineering

To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, and the wonderful things that women have achieved in the field of engineering, we are looking at pioneering female engineers, the challenges and obstacles they have had to overcome in their quest for an engineering career and the many initiatives aimed at encouraging more females into engineering.

BBC Radio Manchester launched the BBC Radio Manchester's Make a Difference Awards, a chance to celebrate the brilliant people and organisations that put the 'Great' into Greater Manchester. Techwuman were finalists for the Together Award.

Happy International Women in Engineering Day 2022! INWED gives women engineers around the world a profile as they are still hugely under-represented in their professions. To celebrate this year we collaborated with Dassault Systemes to produce a blog aimed at inspiring the next generation of women engineers!
