University Pathways
The stepping stone to University.
UP Education partners with the University of Auckland, AUT University, Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and The University of Tasmania in Australia. Following Up Education’s foundation study programmewill bring you to the required level of knowledge and ability to successfully enrol at one of these universities.
UP Education supports students with specialised subject knowledge, English-language proficiency and exceptional insight into Australian or New Zealand culture and society, making them truly global citizens.
Students who successfully meet the programme requirements are guaranteed entry into their chosen programmes with the prestigious university partners.
There are four intakes per year – January, April, July and October and various programme durations to match your needs – 6, 8/9, 12 and 18 months.
UP Education’s track record in New Zealand ensures that it continues to stand out. Working with three New Zealand universities and three Australian universities, over 10,000 students have completed foundation study programmes with UP Education. They offer students more than a stepping-stone to university and set them up for future success.
New Zealand-based foundation study programmes prepare students for degree-level study. These include:
- The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies
- AUT University Certificate in Foundation Studies
- Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies Programme
Bridging programmes are also on offer in Australia through a partnership with the University of Tasmania.
So that New Zealand students have the right level of English language proficiency to complete Foundation Studies, English language tuition is available at the Auckland-based English School, and The Campbell Institute, based in Wellington and Auckland.
Careers in Industry
Work ready, world ready.
The UP Education partner colleges offer certificates, diplomas and degrees in creative industries. These include IT, tourism, hospitality and cookery, trades and services, business, health, beauty and early childhood education.
While you may have seen the stunning landscapes in The Lord of The Rings movies, some people may not realise New Zealand is also famous for its world-class education and lifestyle. Many international students choose to study here for these two reasons. New Zealand’s teaching standards are extremely high and our education qualifications are recognised globally. In fact, the country was ranked 3rd best in the world for education in a recent survey. By studying here, students will be well set up for an international career as they’ll speak English and improve their language ability every day. Life is good in New Zealand. When they’re not studying, there are lots of parks, beaches and forests for students to enjoy – even in cities. It’s easy to go hiking or cycling and you don’t have to travel far to experience mountains, lakes and exciting activities like bungy jumping or skydiving. New Zealand is a safe and peaceful place to study and corruption is very rare. People are friendly and aren’t big crowds, so students have lots of space to learn and explore this unique country. We couldn’t recommend a better place to study, work and build life skills.
